The war on Ukraine has led to a remarkable military turnaround in Germany. A special fund was created to finance new armament projects to make the Bundeswehr fit for the future. But the success is only partial: Many projects are on the way, no doubt. But simultaneously there is a substantial lack of visionary armament planning documents, since both the new German National Security Strategy and the complementary Military Policy Guidelines are insufficient to meet this challenge.
