<p>Geotourism in Kuwait is an emerging sector that capitalizes on the country’s distinctive geological and geomorphological features to promote sustainable tourism development opportunities. By highlighting geological features while promoting environmental and cultural awareness, recognition, conservation, and local economic benefits, geotourism offers a new potential revenue stream for Kuwait’s economy. This study presents the first comprehensive roadmap for geotourism in Kuwait, emphasiz1, 2 ing important geological and geomorphological sites as potential tourist destinations. Assessing 14 significant geosites, the four most valued locations: Enjafa Beach, Khiran Ridges, Jal Al-Zour Escarpment, and Failaka Island, were selected to explore Kuwait's geological and paleontological history. The Geosites Assessment Methodology (GAM) uses quantitative assessments, literature reviews, and field investigations to measure key aspects of geotourism. A detailed analysis of scientific, educational, functional, and touristic values (weighted accordingly) shows that Failaka Island is the strongest candidate for geotourism development; on the other hand, Jal Al-Zour also has potential, though slightly lower, while Al-Khiran Ridges are considered less suitable for geotourism. Preserving these sites is essential, as they offer valuable insights into the region's paleontological and geological history, thereby fostering an appreciation for Kuwait’s natural heritage. This study highlights the potential of geotourism to diversify Kuwait's economy and underscores the importance of conserving these valuable sites. Combining quantitative assessments with field research offers insights into the employment of geological heritage through collaboration among environmental, tourism, and educational sectors to promote geosites. A regional model for sustainable tourism will contribute to international geotourism networks, while also enhancing its identity on the global stage to valorize its heritage for both local and international audiences.</p>
