<p>Fossils represent a crucial aspect of geological heritage, providing invaluable insights into Earth’s biological and environmental history. This importance is particularly notable for Mesozoic marine reptiles, whose fossils capture a significant evolutionary event—the adaptation of reptiles to marine environments from the Triassic through the Cretaceous periods. However, effectively conveying this complex information to the public in an engaging manner remains challenging. This study addresses this challenge by analyzing the “<i>Mystery of Sea Monsters</i>” exhibition at the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History (ZMNH), which aims to make these ancient fossils both accessible and intriguing for visitors. The exhibition employs various strategies to enhance public understanding, including the display of meticulously restored fossils, the use of interactive multimedia tools, and the incorporation of recent scientific findings. The exhibition successfully communicated the importance of marine reptile fossils, with digital tools and interactive features significantly enhancing visitor engagement and understanding. By combining traditional and modern display techniques, this exhibition serves as a model for effectively communicating complex scientific concepts and fostering appreciation for natural history.</p>
