Distribution Characteristics and Migration Rules of Particulate Matter in Travertine Colorful Pools in Huanglong, a World Natural Heritage, China

Huanglong, a World Natural Heritage, China is a typical alpine karst geological accumulation landform, with wide and thick travertine deposits and rich and colorful travertine landscape, which has high scientific research and human value. In recent years, the degradation and damage of some travertine landscapes have attracted the attention of scholars from all over the world. With the environmental geology of Huanglong Scenic area as the research background, this study selected typical travertine pool as the research object, and studied the flow field distribution of typical travertine geological body under hydrodynamic action, explored the formation conditions of new-born travertine particles and the migration and deposition rules under different hydrodynamic conditions through the combination of field testing, laboratory analysis and three-dimensional numerical simulation of CFD software. To clarify the deposition mechanism of travertine under the action of water dynamics, and to provide scientific basis for the sustainable development of tourism resources and the conservation of travertine landscape in Huanglong.
