摘要

Melanomas in children are rare and are often diagnosed with delay due to their atypical clinical appearance. We report the case of juvenile melanoma in a 14 year old and provide a concise review of the literature regarding this entity, including diagnostics and treatment. Pediatric melanomas pose a challenge in clinical practice, particularly since study data on systemic therapy in children and adolescents are often lacking. Close interdisciplinary collaboration between pediatric oncologists and dermato-oncologists is essential for the management of these patients.
