<p>Machine learning (ML) methods have gained considerable importance in recent years and are now an integral part of biomedical research. They aid in the discovery of biomarkers and enable their integration into predictive models. In other words, ML facilitates the efficient development of biomarker signatures. In this article, we illustrate the range of ML applications using selected examples from research on malignant lymphomas.</p>
