Künstliche Intelligenz im Alltag von Patient:innen
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important in cancer care and is being used in diagnostics and treatment planning, as well as in patients’ daily lives. This article focuses on the patient’s perspective. AI-supported applications enable continuous symptom monitoring, support personalized treatment adjustments and provide recommendations for managing long-term effects, whilst also helping to strengthen self-management. There is generally a high level of acceptance of AI in cancer care; however, concerns remain regarding information gaps, safety, and the need for human oversight. Trust in AI varies depending on age, socioeconomic status, and digital health literacy, pointing to potential digital inequalities. Overall, AI applications represent a promising addition to oncological care, although their benefits depend on clinical integration, the promotion of digital health literacy, and the reduction of social inequalities.
