Leitliniengerechtigkeit medikamentöser Therapien von Pankreaskarzinomen
摘要
Guidelines have been developed for consistent, quality-assured patient treatment. Compliance with recommendations from the “Oncology Guidelines Program” is comprehensively reviewed by nationwide cancer registries. Oncological centers also report regularly to the German Cancer Society during their yearly audits. Usually, only quality indicators from the S3 guidelines are reviewed. This study analyzed compliance with recommendations and statements from the S3 guidelines for pancreatic cancer that are not reflected in these quality indicators. Analyses were based on data from the Rhineland-Palatinate Cancer Registry at the Institute for Digital Health Data. Patients with pancreatic cancer (ICD-10-GM C25) diagnosed between 2016 and 2024 were included. Drug therapies were examined for metastatic (UICC IV) and non-metastatic (UICC I‑III) disease. Age groups (70 years, 70+) as well as groups with R0 and R1 status were compared. In addition to drugs, time of treatment initiation and duration of therapy were examined. The present study shows that most drug therapies comply with the recommendations and statements of the current S3 guidelines for pancreatic cancer. Such a cross-sectoral statement can only be made using cancer registry data.
