Next Generation Survivorship: Bausteine für eine multiprofessionelle Versorgung nach Krebs
摘要
The topic of cancer survivorship is becoming increasingly relevant in Germany due to improved treatment options and an aging society. Comprehensive follow-up care should address the following aspects: detection of recurrences and secondary tumors, assessment and management of long-term and late effects, consideration of comorbidities, identification of a potential hereditary cancer risk, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, psychosocial support and patient empowerment. The goal should be creation of individualized, structured follow-up care recommendations that address various biopsychosocial aspects. Currently, structures for quality-assured implementation of such recommendations by multidisciplinary and multiprofessional teams are lacking in Germany. Ongoing projects will contribute to a better understanding of cancer survivorship and optimize care.
