摘要
The current article focuses on possibilities for psychosocial support of cancer sufferers in the context of continued active employment or return to work. Social law issues play a critical role—corresponding information deficits can have far-reaching consequences and even threaten financial livelihood security. The support offers that cancer patients may expect to find in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation institutions, and outpatient counseling services with respect to their return to work are presented. Furthermore, the challenges that must be tackled in order to enable better support of cancer sufferers returning to or remaining at work are highlighted.
