摘要

Teacher job burnout is a prevalent issue, typically examined through latent variable theory. This study employs psychometric network analysis to investigate job burnout’s structure and its association with protective factors (career satisfaction—CS, perceived organizational support—POS, perceived social support—PSS) among 945 Chinese primary and secondary school teachers. Using the glasso method, we analyzed both item and domain networks. In the item network, strong correlations were found within emotional exhaustion (EE), depersonalization (DP), and reduced personal accomplishment (PA). DP items, particularly DP_JB19, exhibited high centrality. In the domain network, the POS-EE edge demonstrated the strongest correlation. POS, EE, and PSS had the highest centrality. Psychometric network analysis underscores the significance of EE and DP in the context of burnout, while revealing robust negative associations between POS, PSS and job burnout. These findings offer valuable insights into the development of targeted interventions aimed at supporting teachers experiencing burnout.
