摘要

Since its establishment, the European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction has been dedicated to developing diagnostic and treatment strategies for orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders. From the outset, a key objective has been to demonstrate that myoarthropathies (MAP) of the temporomandibular system follow the same principles as other musculoskeletal disorders. A recent position paper by the International Network for Orofacial Pain and Related Disorders Methodology (INfORM) summarizes the currently recognized positions and concepts for the examination, diagnosis, and management of craniomandibular disorders/MAP.
