The German Federal Ministry of Health (Bundesministerium für Gesundheit, BMG) has created legal facts on the restructuring of the hospital landscape. Among other things, this is relevant for intersectoral healthcare, which means that the boundaries between in- and outpatient care should be lifted. Other important new aspects are the hospital structure reform and the Hospital Transparency Act (Krankenhaustransparenzgesetz), which entered into force in March 2024.
