Molekulare Mechanismen der Kälteanpassung bei Insekten
摘要
Phenotypic plasticity is the ability of single genotypes to create different phenotypes. Moderated by differential gene expression, organisms can react rapidly to environmental challenges such as thermal stress. As insects can be studied at multiple levels, from whole organisms to individual cells, they are powerful model systems. Integrating stress tolerance assays with high-throughput expression studies, can reveal how insects, including pest and vector species, adapt to new environments.
