Die Auswirkung zweier Mikrobiota-Bakterien auf das C. elegans-Proteom
摘要
Although Chaenorhabditis elegans has been extensively used as a model organism in the laboratory, we know almost nothing about its interaction with naturally associated microbes. Using proteomics, we studied the C. elegans response to two natural Pseudomonas symbionts that protect the roundworms against pathogens. The host response is manifold, involving proteomic changes related to metabolism, pathogen defense, and cell structure, laying the groundwork for exploring mechanisms of microbiota-mediated protection.
