摘要

Fluorescence microscopy has revolutionized our understanding of biological processes, largely spurred by the discovery of genetically encoded fluorescent tags. However, modern high and super-resolution microscopy techniques are limited by the finite photon budget of available fluorophores. We have devised reversible enzymatic labeling to enable continuous exchange of bleached fluorophores, which opens particularly exciting possibilities for single molecule and correlated fluorescence microscopy in live cells.
