Detektions-PCR und Amplikon-Sequenzierung: ein Power-Paar
摘要
We describe the development of a scheme to specifically detect the global pathogen Clostridioides difficile in environmental samples. A specific, sensitive PCR coupled with next-generation sequencing of the resulting PCR amplicons allows taxonomic assessment of diverse C. difficile strains in environmental DNA. The presumed bias of antibiotic-based C. difficile isolation was supported. The powerful combination of detection-PCR and amplicon NGS could also facilitate detection of other bacteria.
