Chickens are an important species in veterinary sciences and a valuable immunological model. T cells are essential for adaptive immunity and memory responses in chickens, playing a crucial role in safeguarding poultry health. Next Generation Sequencing of T cell receptors (TCR repertoire sequencing) has emerged as a powerful tool to better characterize T cell responses. Here, we discuss approaches, applications, and findings regarding TCR repertoire sequencing in chickens.
