摘要

Ferroptosis is a form of iron-dependent regulated cell death, which has been linked to various neurodegenerative diseases. The overexpression of the two enzymes ACSL4 and LPCAT2, which play a key role in lipid peroxidation, increases the susceptibility of the cells towards ferroptosis. Different mitochondria-targeted inhibitors were tested to determine the influence of mitochondria in this model system of ferroptosis.
