摘要

Faced with accelerating climate change and rapid population growth, we need crops with higher yields and greater resilience to ensure food security. Crop genome engineering will likely play a major role in meeting future food needs. However, we do not understand plant gene regulation well enough to target engineering and achieve predictable outcomes. Therefore, we study regulatory DNA and its interactions–the regulatory grammar – in plants using high-throughput assays and computational approaches.
