RNA-bindende Proteine als Regulatoren des Stammzellstoffwechsels
摘要
Differentiation of embryonic stem cells requires the coordinated regulation of their metabolism, which is characterised by a shift from glycolysis to mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation. While the regulation of metabolic pathways has traditionally been attributed to proteins involved in differential transcription, there is increasing evidence that post-transcriptional control can play a crucial role in metabolism. Here we discuss the involvement of RNA-binding proteins in the metabolic rewiring during stem cell differentiation.
