Liquid Embolization with Iodized Oil and Tissue Glue for Ruptured Gastroduodenal Artery Pseudoaneurysm Presenting as Peptic Ulcer Hemorrhage: A Case Report
摘要
Pseudoaneurysm of the visceral artery is a rare disease, most commonly seen in middle-aged men, and is usually treated surgically or with endovascular embolization. Analysis of previous cases reveals that the most frequently employed embolization method is ‘coil embolization’. We report the case of a middle-aged female patient with peptic ulcer hemorrhage associated with long-term medication use. A pseudoaneurysm of the gastroduodenal artery was detected by arteriography after endoscopic hemostasis failed. Subsequently, hemostasis was successfully achieved by embolization using iodized oil and tissue glue. This case further confirms that the combination of iodized oil and tissue glue can be used for emergency embolization of gastroduodenal artery pseudoaneurysms, adding evidence for the safety and efficacy of this technique.
