Management of Subungual Melanoma of Thumb Associated with Fungating Axillary Lymph Node Metastases—An Interesting Case Report

Subungual melanoma (SUM) or melanotic whitlow is a rare site for a malignant melanoma. We report an unusual case of a 44-year-old female with a pigmented nail lesion of her right thumb, presumably melanonychia, for 30 years which had changed morphology supposedly after nail trauma and had undergone malignant transformation.
