<p>The Asian Society of Mastology (ASOMA) is a multinational team of experts dedicated to improving care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions. Impalpable breast lesions are those that cannot be felt but are detected through sensitive imaging techniques such as mammography, ultrasonography or MRI. Early detection, often via screening, enhances the potential for breast conservation surgery, which aims to achieve cancer resection while preserving cosmetic outcomes. Routine mammographic screening has shifted detection towards smaller and non-palpable lesions. Data suggests that over one-third of breast lesions excised are detected through screening, with nearly half of surgical breast cancer cases being non-palpable. This document is developed with the help of leaders in this domain to provide Indian solutions to Indian problems, i.e. accessibility, high cost of diagnostic and therapeutic surgical procedures.</p>
