<p>A 10-year old female child presented to us with complaints of progressive breathlessness for the last 2&#xa0;years. She was diagnosed with a right lung hydatid cyst. She underwent a right thoracotomy with cystectomy. An intercostal drain (ICD) was placed following surgery. The postoperative period was uneventful; on day 3, the ICD was removed. A clear ICD-like track was visible in the X-ray film.</p>
