摘要

Schwannomas are rare tumors in the retroperitoneum, accounting for only 0.7–2.6% of cases. Giant tumors measuring over 20 cm are reported in fewer than 35 instances. A 21-year-old man presented with a retroperitoneal schwannoma measuring 35 × 25 × 15 cm, which was confirmed by biopsy (showing S-100 positivity, along with CD34 and CD117 negativity, and a Ki-67 index of 1–5%). Surgery was performed, and no recurrence was observed after one year. This case represents the largest recorded retroperitoneal schwannoma to date, highlighting the importance of surgical precision in managing such rare conditions.
