Blunt Injury Abdomen with Isolated Cystic Duct Rent

Blunt trauma abdomen resulting in isolated injury to the gallbladder is extremely rare—a 55 years old gentleman presenting 3 days after fall from stairs with pain in abdomen and shock, clinical peritonitis and operative finding of cystic duct rent with free bile and no injury to other viscera is reported. He recovered after midline exploratory laparotomy and cholecystectomy.
