Right Tracheal Bronchus Identifcation and Classifcation
摘要
The primary objective of the present study was to use computed tomography angiography and three-dimensional reconstruction to assess and to classify the right tracheal bronchus. Between January 2018 and October 2023, 2285 patients with pulmonary lesions were identified who underwent thin-slice computed tomography scans of the chest. The incidence of the displaced–apical bronchus–right main type was significantly greater than that of the other types (P < 0.05), the z value (the distance from the anomalous bronchial opening to the carina) of the intermediate bronchus type was significantly greater than that of the other types (P < 0.001), the ratio of the volume of the right upper lobe to the volume of the right lung decreases as the anomalous opening of the tracheal bronchus moves more superior (P < 0.01).This was the first report to categorize the right tracheal bronchus identification and classification, and to create simplified models. A unified classification and naming of the TB variant would be conducive to improving communication among clinical departments and important for reducing unnecessary medical errors.
