摘要

Single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS) combines the advantages of laparoscopy with the benefits of traditional open surgery. Nevertheless, in some cases, the expected complexity of the procedure or the patient’s young age restricts the choice of this technique. We present the case of a 10-month-old male who presented with severe lower gastrointestinal bleeding, leading to progressive anemia, and in whom the nuclear medicine study suggested Meckel’s diverticulum. A bowel resection of the affected intestinal segment was performed through a SILS approach. The patient's postoperative course was uneventful. He was reviewed on an outpatient basis after 4 weeks, and the histopathological study confirmed the presence of gastric ectopia in the resected diverticulum. The patient’s final aesthetic result was excellent.
