Imaging of Multinodular Plantar Fibromatosis—Ledderhose Disease Associated with Dupuytren’s Contracture
摘要
Ledderhose disease or plantar fibromatosis is a very rare benign hyperproliferative disorder of the plantar aponeurosis. It is often found in association with other fibromatoses such as Dupuytren’s disease and Keloids and Peyronie disease. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) confirmed the diagnosis of multiple fibromatosis associated with Dupuytren’s contracture. As this is a progressive fibroproliferative disease, early detection and diagnosis play an important role in conservative management. For patients with persistent pain or associated complications, surgical management is advised.
