Cryo Laser and Cryo Sclerotherapy (CLaCS) for the Treatment of Spider Veins in India

More than 40% of the global adult population is symptomatic for venous disease. Subdermal reticular veins and intradermal telangiectasias are classified as C1 disease as per the CEAP classification of varicose veins. We report a case series of 30 patients with isolated C1 vein disease treated with CLaCS under vein viewer guidance at our vein clinic in India. Partial to complete resolution with patient satisfaction was recorded in 27 patients (90%) with 2 sessions of CLaCS. None of the patients required peri-procedural analgesics. With no risk of anaphylaxis and low pigmentation rates, CLaCS is a safe and effective treatment modality for C1 disease, especially in patients of Aesthetic Phlebology. To the best of our knowledge this is the first case series of CLaCS being reported in India.
