<p><Emphasis Type="BoldItalic">Hypenia kalunga</Emphasis> is here described and illustrated as a new species of Lamiaceae from the Brazilian Cerrado. It is compared to morphologically similar species, and a distribution map along with a preliminary conservation assessment is provided.&#xa0;The new species&#xa0;can be recognized by its chartaceous and pale green leaves with serrate margins, lax inflorescence bearing uniflorous cymes with campanulate calyx bearing deltate lobes, and a pale-lilac corolla. The new species is here assessed for the IUCN Red List as Data Deficient due to lack of records.</p>

摘要

Hypenia kalunga is here described and illustrated as a new species of Lamiaceae from the Brazilian Cerrado.
