Lectotypification of Uleiorchis longipedicellata (Orchidaceae): an endemic species from Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil
摘要
This study proposes the lectotypification of the name Uleiorchis longipedicellata based on a detailed examination of the species’ original type material. The designation of a lectotype was deemed necessary due to the loss of the holotype, which was originally preserved in liquid and deposited in the collection associated with the Herbarium of the Instituto Agronômico do Norte (IAN). The holotype was irretrievably lost as a result of improper storage and the subsequent evaporation of the preservation medium. In the absence of isotypes, a well-preserved paratype specimen — comprising a complete plant and consistent with the diagnostic features described in the protologue — was selected as the lectotype. This typification aims to ensure nomenclatural stability and support future taxonomic and conservation research on the species.
