<p><i>Thyrsanthemum latibracteatum</i>, a new species from the state of Guerrero, Mexico, is here described and illustrated. The proposed taxon is compared with <i>T</i>. <i>floribundum</i>, <i>T</i>. <i>goldianum</i> and <i>T</i>. <i>longifolium</i>, species with which it shares some similarities. A morphological description and images of the new taxon are presented along with a distribution map and a list of the specimens examined of both <i>Thyrsanthemum</i> species (<i>T</i>. <i>goldianum</i> and <i>T</i>. <i>longifolium</i>) known from Guerrero.</p>

Thyrsanthemum latibracteatum, a new species from the state of Guerrero, Mexico, is here described and illustrated.
