摘要

The dyeing of polyamide (PA) fabrics is usually accompanied by high temperature and significant water pollution. In this work, synthetic vinyl dyes are used to dye PA fabrics via electron beam (EB) irradiation at room temperature. Before irradiation, the fabric was immersed in the dye solution and padded to ensure uniform dispersion of dyes on the fibers. Due to the graft polymerization of the vinyl dyes induced by EB irradiation, a series of dyes copolymer monomers can be covalently bonded on the fibers, which ensure the laundering durability. The utilization rate of vinyl dyes can approach 90%, and the color difference (ΔE) values of the dyed PA fabrics after 20 cycles of accelerated washing are similar to those of traditional dyeing. Moreover, this dyeing method has a slight impact on the water repellent performance and the mechanical strength of PA fabrics. This work presents a room-temperature dyeing method for PA fabrics, offering a green and sustainable alternative to conventional dyeing processes.
