Superlinear Elliptic Equations with Unbalanced Growth

We consider a Dirichlet problem driven by a non-autonomous (p, q)-Laplacian with unbalanced growth. The reaction is superlinear. Using a combination of variational tools with truncation and comparison techniques and critical groups, we show that the problem has at least three nontrivial, bounded solutions, two of which have fixed sign (positive and negative solutions).
