Heat transfer enhancement analysis of heat exchange tubes with different vortex generators
摘要
Heat transfer enhancement in tubes fitted with V-type and S-type vortex generators was studied through simulations and experiments. Results show that both types significantly improved performance by inducing secondary flows, with heat transfer rates increased by 1.5 to 2.8 times over bare tubes. In this study, Optimal parameters were a 60° angle and 2 mm thickness for V-type vortex generators, and 8 mm width and 1.5 mm corrugation height for S-type ones. Overall performance improvements reached 42–58 % and 31–49 %, respectively. Field synergy analysis showed reduced synergy angles near the wall, especially for the V-type design. Experiments confirmed reliability, with temperature and pressure drop errors below 5.5 % and 10.5 %. The results provide theoretical support for optimizing high-efficiency heat exchanger tubes using vortex generators.
