Methods and characters for two-step cold rotary forging process of hub bearing face tooth
摘要
A novel hub bearing with face teeth shows promising potential in new energy vehicle applications. This study proposes a two-step cold rotary forging technique to accurately form the bearing’s face teeth. A digital simulation platform was developed using DEFORM software, enabling numerical analysis of the two-step forming process. Key parameters including forming load, tooth root damage, metal flow velocity, and strain distribution during the process were investigated. Experimental validation confirmed the effectiveness of this two-step forming method, with manufactured prototypes demonstrating the approach’s feasibility. The research provides engineering significance for advancing high-performance manufacturing of hub bearings with precision face teeth.
