摘要

To enhance the pitch-roll resistance performance of tri-axle mining dump trucks, this paper proposes a new hydraulically interconnected suspension system that includes the left and right sides interconnection in the front wheels and X-type cross interconnection in the middle and rear wheels (X-HIS). The impedance transfer matrix method is introduced to derive the pressure-flow relationship of X-HIS. Pressure-flow equations are incorporated into the body-wheel equations, and vehicle model considering pitch-roll resistance is established by coupling the mechanical-hydraulic system. Subsequently, transfer function-based frequency response characterization shows that X-HIS obviously suppresses body pitch and roll angle gains compared to the conventional independent suspension (CIS). Finally, slalom tests and impulse experiments are applied to validate pitch-roll resistance performance. The vehicle’s maximum pitch and roll angles are reduced by 17.04 % and 18.91 %, respectively. The experimental results show that X-HIS can significantly improve the truck’s driving stability.
