Force Property Analysis of a Steel-concrete-steel Bias Component with a Variable Section: The Effect of Design Parameters

摘要

In order to study the influence of various design parameters on the ultimate load of the bias component of the pipe-roof pre-construction (PP) structure, a variable section steel-concrete-steel (VSSCS) bias component, incorporating studs, was designed, and a bias loading test conducted. The impact of component parameters on bearing capacity underwent further analysis using a finite element model, leading to the optimization of the PP structure and a revision of its bearing capacity calculation model. The following conclusions are obtained: 1) The failure mode of VSSCS bias components is mainly characterized by large eccentric tensile failure. 2) For each 1mm increase in steel plate thickness and each 5 Mpa enhancement in concrete strength, the maximum bearing capacity of the component correspondingly rises by 1.6%–10.9% and 6.4%–15.7%, respectively. 3) The strength and stiffness of the components are increased by 9.2%–13.1% and 18.1%–64.9% by adding stud connectors, respectively.
