Application possibilities of a drone model equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras in airport security

Due to the increase in acts of terrorism and unlawful interference with civil aviation facilities, airport security is vitally important for national security and strategic interests. In addition to existing security systems, the integration of drones in this area is essential for the further enhancement of airport security. The application areas of drone models equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras in airports are diverse, and it is considered advantageous to select drones with appropriate technical characteristics for each area of activity. The article analyzes the structure, technical characteristics, functional and application capabilities of drone models equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras used in airport security in order to determine the appropriate technical conditions for the application of the drone model, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. In conclusion, it was considered appropriate to take into account the relevant technical conditions determined when selecting a drone model equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras for airport protection. In this case, it is possible to ensure aviation security at a high level by using a drone model equipped with visual, infrared, and thermal cameras, designed taking into account the relevant technical conditions, for the protection of airports with a large area.
