Zusatzqualifikation Chest Pain Unit – DGK-Weiterbildungscurriculum
摘要
Chest pain units (CPUs) are specialized interprofessional care units for patients presenting with acute chest pain and cardiological emergencies. This curriculum describes a modular, in-service continuing education program qualifying healthcare professionals as “nursing experts in chest pain units”. The program systematically develops, promotes and assesses professional nursing competence in this complex and time-critical acute care setting. Its educational foundations are a competence-oriented training approach, the learning field concept and action-oriented didactics. In terms of content, the program combines continuing education medical fundamentals and acute cardiology with acute coronary syndrome, electrocardiogram (ECG) diagnostics, differential diagnostics of acute chest pain, arrhythmias, cardiogenic shock, pharmacotherapy and emergency management. In addition, nursing science, ethical, communicative, legal and methodological competencies are also addressed. Practical training, theory-practice transfer, scientific work and a professional discourse ensure the application in everyday clinical practice. The final assessment consists of a written examination, a professional discourse and a presentation. The aim is to establish a quality standard, recognized from the German Cardiac Society, for the qualification of healthcare professionals in certified chest pain units.
