The German Heart Report, compiled under the auspices of the German Heart Foundation, summarizes the most important developments in the treatment of heart diseases in Germany every year. The current 2024 update reflects data assessed in 2022. This article provides an overview of the most important observations from the perspective of the German Cardiac Society and the German Society for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery.
