Multimodale kardiale Bildgebung
摘要
Multimodality cardiac imaging plays a steadily growing role in the early detection, diagnostics, risk stratification and treatment of cardiac diseases. Profound knowledge of the correct indications, execution, and interpretation of the results of the respective imaging modality is therefore indispensable for guideline-compliant patient treatment. With the steady rise in the number of examinations in noninvasive imaging, there is also a growing need to develop innovative concepts for education and further training. In order to effectively address current challenges, such as the shortage of training resources and the increasing complexity of educational content, e‑learning formats emerge as a solution strategy. The spectrum ranges from case demonstrations on social media platforms, such as X (formerly Twitter), online self-learning resources and interactive platforms up to live and on-demand courses, which are recognized via the professional societies. Accredited webinars, remote training offers and online case databases can facilitate the verification of the practical and theoretical competency required in the certification processes of national and international professional societies. The supplementation of existing in-person formats with web-based education and further training thus establishes the necessary prerequisites for cardiologists to continue justifying their key role in the interdisciplinary field of cardiac imaging.
