A web-based intelligent computing application for critical elements in Chinese coals
摘要
In recent years, critical elements in coal have been paid much attention in both academic and industrial fields. Existing studies have mainly focused on modes of occurrence and enrichment origins of critical elements in Chinese coals from specific regions. Consequently, a large amount of data related to critical elements in Chinese coals has been accumulated over time. However, the challenge remains in how to efficiently integrate, access, and compute on these critical elements in Chinese coals. This paper presents a web-based intelligent computing application to integrate and analyze the critical elements in Chinese coals. Firstly, data on critical elements in Chinese coals were systematically collected from the Scopus database. The critical elements in Chinese coals include concentrations of elements in coal, species and contents of minerals in coal, proximate analysis, macerals in coal, coordinates of coal samples (e.g., longitude and latitude) and other analytical data. The collected information of coal related literature includes abstracts, journal information, authors, keywords, DOIs, and publication years. Secondly, an expanded Application Programming Interface (API) has been implemented to facilitate the integration of new data sources. In addition, three main functional modules have been integrated into the application: (1) evaluating the resource potential of critical elements in Chinese coals; (2) calculating the correlation among critical elements in Chinese coals, and (3) the geographical distribution evaluation of critical elements based on their coordinates. Overall, the application is designed to facilitate data integration, analysis, and sharing, thereby promoting scientific research on critical elements in Chinese coals.
