<p>By combining bibliometric mapping and transformer-based topic modeling (BERTopic), this study offers an in-depth analysis of trends and thematic developments in PsychologicalFirst Aid (PFA) research within disaster contexts, highlighting key patterns, conceptual gaps and priorities for future inquiry and practice. This hybrid approach offers more comprehensive and more interpretable overview of literature by integrating traditional bibliometric techniques with semantic modeling based on BERT embeddings. A quantitative design was adopted to analyze 168 peer-reviewed articles retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (1998–2024). Bibliometric networks were generated using VOSviewer to investigate co-authorship, keyword co-occurrence, and citation patterns. BERTopic modeling identified four distinct thematic clusters: Psychological First Aid training practices, disaster mental health and psychosocial support, psychosocial care for children, and pandemic-related psychological impacts. Findings indicate that number of publications increased significantly after 2019, with COVID-19 accelerating research, especially in remote and digital PFA interventions. The results highlight leading authors, institutions, and frequently studied concepts, underscoring persistent gaps related to long-term effectiveness and culturally adapted approaches for vulnerable groups. This study provides a conceptual framework for future studies and practical insights for integrating PFA into disaster preparedness and resilience-building strategies.</p>
