<p>Based on cultural intelligence theory and social identity theory, this study explores the impact of cultural intelligence on the campus reintegration of student veterans, as well as the mediating roles of college student identity and proactive integration behavior. Through an analysis of 181 valid questionnaires from China, the research findings reveal that: (1) cultural intelligence positively affects the academic and social integration of student veterans. (2) College student identity partially mediates the relationship between cultural intelligence and social integration, while proactive integration behavior mediates the relationship between cultural intelligence and both academic and social integration. (3) College student identity and proactive integration behaviors play a chain mediating role between cultural intelligence and academic and social integration. This research expands the nomological network of cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation research, uncovering the mechanism by which cultural intelligence affects the campus reintegration of student veterans. It also provides practical insights into how to promote the campus reintegration of student veterans.</p>
