<p>The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected university students’ mental health, particularly during campus lockdowns. This study explores the integration of psychological resilience and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), utilizing latent profile analysis to discern distinct student profiles and assess demographic influences on these profiles. The research aims to deepen the understanding of resilience and PTSD interactions in the context of extended campus confinement.&#xa0;A cohort of 2,342 students participated, completing self-reported assessments including the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version (PCL-C), and a bespoke General Information Questionnaire.&#xa0;PTSD was identified in 24.72% of participants. Latent profile analysis delineated four profiles: High resilience/Low PTSD (18.9%), Mild resilience/Mild PTSD (43.7%), Mild resilience/Moderate to high PTSD (32.0%), and Mild resilience/High PTSD (5.3%). High resilience emerged as a protective factor against PTSD, whereas mild resilience did not consistently correlate with increased PTSD levels. Multinomial logistic regression highlighted gender, education level, and urban residence as significant predictors of profile membership, with females and urban residents more prone to higher PTSD levels.&#xa0;This study elucidates the intricate relationship between resilience and PTSD, providing a foundation for tailored mental health interventions for specific student subgroups. It emphasizes the necessity of resilience-enhancing strategies to alleviate the psychological repercussions of crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
