<p>Both employee ambition and innovative behavior are important factors for organizations and are crucial for the overall development of both the organization and the individual employee. The theory of purposeful work behavior suggests that individual work behavior is not random or aimless, but rather driven by clear personal goals and intrinsic motivations. However, few studies have systematically examined how the personality trait of ambition influences innovative behavior from both individual and team perspectives, using large sample data. This has significant implications for business management and theoretical development. Based on the theory of purposeful work behavior, this study utilized a large-scale survey (n = 1034, with a sample drawn from a representative group of employees in a large company in China), combined with mediating analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) methods. It explores the relationship between the personality trait of ambition and innovative behavior, and examines the indirect effects of creative team mindset and organizational identification from the perspectives of individual, team, and organization. The results indicate that ambition can directly and positively influence innovative behavior. Ambition enhanced individuals' perception of team creativity and their sense of belonging to the organization, which in turn fostered individual innovative behavior. This study reveals the systematic role of employee ambition in influencing innovative behavior and innovatively identifies the important mediating roles of creative team mindset and organizational identification in the ambition-innovative behavior model. It provides scientific recommendations for improving employee innovative behavior and organizational identification from both individual and team perspectives. 摘要

Both employee ambition and innovative behavior are important factors for organizations and are crucial for the overall development of both the organization and the individual employee. Additionally, for employees, creative team mindset and organizational identification play an indirect role in the relationship between ambition and innovative behavior. Furthermore, it offers significant large-sample data support and theoretical supplementation to the theory of purposeful work behavior, with important practical and theoretical implications.
