Spiritual roots of adaptability: unveiling the impact of workplace spirituality on task performance post-covid-19

Employees with a spiritual heritage rapidly adapt to the new developments that come about quickly in their daily lives. The dramatic adjustments to our daily routine brought on by the COVID-19 situation excite us. There is an urgent need to specify the role of workplace spirituality in task performance after the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the spillover theory, this study examines the relationship between workplace spirituality and task performance. In addition, this study examines the mediating role of knowledge sharing and the moderating role of spiritual leadership. Data were collected from health sector employees. The results show that workplace spirituality is positively related to employee task performance. Further, knowledge sharing mediates the relationship between workplace spirituality and task performance. The results show that spiritual leadership moderates the relationship between workplace spirituality and knowledge sharing. This study’s findings present practical and management implications that provide leads for future investigations in the field of psychology and organizational behavior research.
